Evil In Women And Its Effect On Macbeth
Words: 748 / Pages: 3 .... the fruit thereof, and
she did eat it; and she gave it unto her husband..." (Genesis 3.6). Eve, out of
fear, beguiled Adam. In Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the witches, succumbing to
greed, corrupted Macbeth.
Lady Macbeth's actions parallel those of the witches. The witches
planted the idea that Macbeth should become king. Lady Macbeth followed through
with this idea by pushing Macbeth to kill Duncan. "... a very definition of the
weird sisters - calling on them to unsex her to cram her with cruelty from top
to toe..." (Bloom 29). This quote illustrates the connection between Lady
Macbeth and the witches, showing us that they both participated in .....

The Crucible: A Review
Words: 426 / Pages: 2 .... being human we could not.
The ultimate message in The Crucible seems missed by the masses, we
still blindly accuse others of pseudo-crimes, and follow wholeheartedly and
blindly, when others accuse. Is it perhaps simple human nature to fear and
hate that which we do not know? Is the human race, as a whole, really this
close to the swamps and oceans from which we pulled ourselves? Has
evolution really just played some sort of immense prank on us, bestowing
upon us the gifts of reason and judgment, but blurring them with prejudice
and blind hatred? (Too many question...Not enough answers... Isn't that
always the case?)
The Crucible is an .....

Timeline Of Art
Words: 1773 / Pages: 7 .... was highly
individual and shared only for brief periods. The momentary excitement
that held these painters aloft and allowed them the maximum of freedom,
deserted them as their work developed and matured. The hangover from this
movement led to new means of expression. It was never a movement with aims
that could be realized such as successive movements as Cubism was, but was
a erratic process of experiments with possibilities suggested by the post-
impressionist painters.
Cubism:
Cubism, which began very shortly after Fauvism, is exemplified by
Pablo Picasso. In this movement the flattened space including background

Macbeth: Characteristics Of Macbeth That Led To His Downfall
Words: 443 / Pages: 2 .... is too
intrigued by the witches' prediction that he ignores all of the years of loyalty
and ethics to his king for his own selfishness. And in the end, apparently,
Macbeth's ambition is stronger than his conscience.
In addition, Macbeth's ambition caused him to do desperate things.
Desperation. in my opinion, dug Macbeth's own grave. When the subject of
Macduff arrives, I don't think that he would have been so bitter towards Macbeth
if he hadn't killed his wife and children. Killing Macduff's family gains
nothing for Macbeth and tries to get at Macduff indirectly. This act of
desperation and spitefulness gives a good reason to now fear .....

Romeo And Juliet: Love And Their Ends
Words: 880 / Pages: 4 .... where an illiterate servant of the Capulets, the mortal enemies of the Montagues, asks Romeo to read a guest list for the Capulet party. The Montague and several others decide to crash the party. Although Romeo is reluctant to go and foreshadows his own death, he decides to set off for the party only to see Rosaline. This is ironic because he feels that he will die but he goes to the party anyway, saying,
“I fear, too early. For my mind misgives
Some consequence, yet hanging in the stars,
Shall bitterly begin his fearful date
With this night’s revels, and expire the term
Of a despised life closed in my breast
By some vile forfeit of untim .....

Macbeth: Guilty By His Actions Then Lady Macbeth Is By Hers
Words: 778 / Pages: 3 .... murder in this story was committed on Duncan. This crime
was planned by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The actual murder was done by
Macbeth, making him more guilty of the crime. Lady Macbeth just talked
about committing the crime, but she never actually went through with it nor
would she ever, and that is all that counts. Talking about committing the
incident is very different from actually doing it. Lady Macbeth did a
little more than just talk about it though. She also urged Macbeth into
doing it and that is what makes her part of this crime, but she is not as
guilty as Macbeth. He really didn't have to listen to what his wife said.
Macbe .....

Special Effects

stories of a common plate being thrown across a "space" backdrop to emulate a
flying saucer in mid-flight.
Although the special effects persons of old were strapped with limits, one
of these was not make-up. They relied heavily on this prop to portray the many
monsters and aliens in their films. "Nosferatu" a German film about the vampire
with the same name was a huge success even in America, where thousands marveled
at the intricate detailing of the blood-sucker's razor-like teeth, bulging eyes
and a pointed nose and ears. "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" used a
somewhat new technique of a body .....

Hamlet: Brutal Truth
Words: 923 / Pages: 4 .... the passage to illustrate Hamlet's view of the cosmos and mankind.
Throughout the play, the themes of illusion and mendaciousness have been
carefully developed. The entire royal Danish court is ensnared in a web of
espionage, betrayal, and lies. Not a single man speaks his mind, nor
addresses his purpose clearly. As Polonius puts it so perfectly: "And thus
do we of wisdom and of reach / By indirections find directions out" Act 2,
Scene 2, Lines 71-3 The many falsehoods and deceptions uttered in Hamlet
are expressed through eloquent, formal, poetic language (iambic
pentameter), tantamount to an art form. If deceit is a painted, ornate

The Tempest: Magic
Words: 730 / Pages: 3 .... book was the first major book to denounce witch-hunts and their ringleaders,
and unquestionable the first book in English to actually hypothesize about the
methods of these so-called witches. It contained one chapter of approximately
twenty pages describing what we might view as unsophisticated, old-time magic
tricks.
One would assume that it was this text, and texts succeeding this (The
Art of Juggling, written by Samuel Ridd in 1610 also presented a few how-to's of
magic) were probably not only what suggested the idea of using magic as a them
to Shakespeare, but in addition, provided methods as to how the magic in the
play might be a .....

This is the case with the character Alex, a juvenile delinquent introduced into prisonization then conditioned by governmental moral standards. This lack of personal moral choice imposed upon Alex creates conflicting situations in which he has no control over. This is apparent when trying to readjust into society.
