Comparison Of 1984 And Animal Farm
Words: 394 / Pages: 2 .... members.
The true reality in 1984 is shown only to the reader and some Inner
Party members. O'Brien knows the real truth of things as shown by his torturing
of Winston. He tells Winston that if the Party tells the people that 2+2=5,
then it does. He also instructs Winston that if the Party informs its members
that 2+2=3 or 4 or all at the same time, then it is so. Although this true
reality is available to Inner Party members, they too do not have the freedom of
thought or individuality... they are only just aware of its existence. Only the
outside reader is able to think and understand the true nature of the reality

Catcher In The Rye
Words: 1402 / Pages: 6 .... a psychoanalytical component that provokes the reader to analyze and question the main character and society as well. While reading the novel, I found myself to identify with the main character, Holden Caulfield, in so many ways because of the similitude in values and convictions we both hold. It is for all those reasons mentioned above that I enjoy the book so much and label it as one of my favorites.
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to hold grasp of this book and read it, it is superficially, the story of a young man’s expulsion from school. However, if you study the story, it is so much more than that.
Holden Caulfield, a .....

Animal Farm Essay
Words: 779 / Pages: 3 .... a better thinker than Napoleon.
When all the animals helped kick Mr. Jones off the farm, Snowball led
the animals to the store-shed and served out a double ration of corn to
everybody with two biscuits going to each of the dogs.
Napoleon on the other hand was very selfish. He stole milk that was
meant for everybody and drank it all, and he stole apples. He doesn't care
about the work the animals do, just what would benefit him.
For example, Napoleon comes up with the building of the windmill that
would supply electricity so they would not have to work as hard. Napoleon was
against this because he didn't come up with the idea. When Napoleon se .....

Summary Of Wuthering Heights

years to make a name for himself, and make some money.
When he returned he saw Catherine, his true love married to his
half-brother. Heathcliff in turn married Isabella, whom he did not love,
for reasons unbeknownst to me, other than to tick Edgar off. He plotted
revenge on his brothers, and friends in order to get both Thrushcross
Grange and the story's namesake Wuthering Heights.
When Heathcliff died, I imagine that he was very sad that his plan
did not work out. I'm sure he would have changed his ways if he knew the
outcome. Or maybe not. Maybe he would have taken great pleasure in
knowing that he created a he .....

Symbolism In Silas Marner
Words: 1456 / Pages: 6 .... that he is free, at peace with God” (103). This statement shows how Eliot refers to religion in her, Eliot’s, novel. Godfrey Cass can not be considered free and at peace with God because Godfrey himself marries Molly, a poor woman, who is not of his social class and does not let anyone know about the marriage. Godfrey likes Nancy, who is of his social class, thus being one of the reasons for him not telling anybody of their (Godfrey and Molly’s) marriage. The other reason Godfrey can not be considered free and at peace with God is because when Molly is found dead, he (Godfrey) would not even admit that he knew her, let alone say that he mar .....
