.... home and duty. The movie begins book IX with the ship sailing directly to the island of the Cyclops. The video creates the scene of the island in merely one day, while there are hints in the book that it occurred for more than a day, possibly even two. Odysseus’ blinding of Polyphemus, a well-devised plan in order to escape from the cave, differs the most between book and movie. Very important is the fact that when Polymephus’ cries attracted the attention of the other Cyclops, he responded that "Nobody" was responsible for what had happened. This remark alone saved the lives of the men in the cave, as the Cyclops assumed that Polyphemus .....

If you do not care about your friends you will not be pusinshed. You will simply be ignored... forgotten... as you have done to others. DON'T EVER TRY Don't ever try to understand everything some things will just never make sense. Don't ever be reluctant to show your feelings when you're happy, give in to it! .... as though they weren't human. Cognizant that it would be necessary to work with others in order to survive, Ivan spends some of his time daily doing things to help others. Through the good deeds that Ivan accomplishes, he earns the respect of the other prisoners and is sometimes rewarded with extra food. He does simple things like laying out other prisoner's shoes for them or bringing some of them their food at a meal. One time, Ivan waits in line to get Tsezar his parcel. Tsezar is a "rich" prisoner who works little or not at all and talks about the luxuries outside of the prison. When Ivan returns, he asks Tsezar if he can bring dinner to him. .....

.... many times. Hamlet had many opportunities to kill Claudius, but did not take advantage of them. He also had the option of making his claim public, but instead he chose not too. A tragic hero doesn't need to be good. For example, MacBeth was evil, yet he was a tragic hero, because he had free will. He also had only one flaw, and that was pride. He had many good traits such as bravery, but his one bad trait made him evil. Also a tragic hero doesn't have to die. While in all Shakespearean tragedies, the hero dies, in others he may live but suffer "Moral Destruction". In Oedipus Rex, the proud yet morally blind king plucks out his eyes, and has to spen .....

.... with Ismene, she asks for her help . When Ismene refuses she is furious with her. Then Ismene decides to act independently. Creon is also very independent. He refuses to accept anyone's opinions except his own. When his son Haimon comes to talk with him he refuses to listen , claiming that Haimon is "girlst ruck!" and corrupted . Teirsesais comes and tells him a morbid prophecy. Creon will not listen to this either. He claims that Teirsesais has been corrupted by money, like many prophets at that time. He finally listens to the Charagous when reminded th at Teiresias has never been wrong. Antigone has no problem working by her self either. She d .....

.... has been wrong from the beginning of helping the British to fight against Indians in Delaware. On the other side, there is Sir William Johnson. He is a man that will do anything to satisfy his interest and at the same time accomplishes the British king’s plans. As we can see, he even married an Indian woman because of the convenience to form a tie with the six nations. As the movie goes along, there are intensions between the Indians and the British constantly. The British always demand the Indians to give help on their problems, but never keep on their promises, such as new settlers were looting Indians’ land throughout the time even when the .....

.... from a friend who was deaf. She had heard of Helen Keller and wanted to see if she could help her to communicate by teaching her sign language. When Anne met Helen, she knew that the job to teaching her would not be an easy one. She first had to gain Helen’s trust, which was a task that was almost impossible. When Anne saw how Helen lived, she knew that things were going to have to change and quickly. One day, Anne was teaching Helen table manners. Helen was used to just grabbing food off her family’s plates. When Helen reached Anne’s plate, she refused to give Helen the food. A struggle went on for hours, until finally Hele .....

.... and Cassius take the leader roles among the conspirators. Nevertheless, they at times do argue over the course of action. Though Brutus and Cassius are both similar in that they are great leaders, their differences in character are instrumental in determining the conclusion of the play. Despite their differences, Brutus and Cassius have similar traits that give rise to great leaders. Both Brutus and Cassius are noble, intelligent men. They usually have good intentions and understand the situation they are in. This is why they both agree to go along with the conspiracy to kill Caesar. When Odysseus heard of the suitors in his home, he had it set in his mind to kill them all before even trying to reason with them or asking them to leave. Also, he plans to take revenge and kill his servants when he believes that they were disloyal and instead of giving them the chance .....

.... "The Jade Peony" by Wayson Choy. I did not enjoy what this story was about nor did I enjoy reading it. Luckly it was short, If It wasnt I doubt i would have made it throught the whole thing. The main problem with this story was the inconsistance of the sentences, some sentences were too long while others were very short. The only way to truly fix this story would be to re-write it. The second story I chose to write about is called "Horses of the Night" by Margaret Laurence. I did enjoy reading this short story dipite the fact it seem to jump around alot; it would talk about somthing fairly in-depth then just suddenly jump to a different .....
