Being Just Or Unjust
Words: 364 / Pages: 2 .... the only ones that contain wisdom.
When considering an unjust part of the soul in order to rule it inappropriately and we look at part of nature suited to be a slave. There is a meddling between the parts and is therefore considered unjust. So then it is logically impossible for all groups to be linked to the virtue of justice when one member of one of the four virtues has the potential to act unjustly.
A harmony or moderation must be achieved for justice. Yet those ion the elite are at extremes and contain all four virtues. This is contrary to nature and because of this opposition by nature kalliopolis has several structural features that can .....

Words: 427 / Pages: 2 .... for a French explorer by the name of Dumont dUrville and a few others we would know next to nothing about the art of tattooing in Tonga. Pidgin: Dialect Of English Spoken On The Hawaiian Islands
Words: 457 / Pages: 2 .... tug-a-war between the Hawaiian part of me and the Haole part of me.
The two cultures that I consider myself, Scottish and Hawaiian, are both proud,
interesting, and contain their own prescriptions toward behavior. The pidgin
dialect is a major part of life in the lower class Hawaiian neighborhoods. For
most children in these neighborhoods it is the language spoken at home. The
other people of the islands look at this dialect as a sign of a poor education
and up-bringing. My mother did not want her son associated with such a group of
individuals.
When I started school at Maunawili School and began to pick up Pidgin
and start to speak it at home s .....

Bias
Words: 995 / Pages: 4 .... slavery were written by the white masters. At that time most of recorded
history was based on how the white masters viewed slavery. You did not get
a view on slavery from the slaves themselves.
In the 1920's, black scholars like W.E.B. Du Bois, Charles
Johnson, and Carter Woodson, started a project to collect oral evidence
from former slaves who were still living. Even these interviews could not
be viewed as 100% accurate. One example, is a geographic bias. The people
that were interviewed were only a very small portion of the millions of
freed slaves. Counting the number of slaves interviewed from each state,

The TV Generation
Words: 539 / Pages: 2 .... 53 channels and a remote to control them with. We have the
option to decide upon everything from The Disney Channel to VH1, The Family
Channel to Fox. That box in our bedroom or family room is a very controlling yet
entertaining appliance. Teenagers have always been free-spirited in any
generation. We are always doing and saying childish things while trying to grow
up. If we only have a couple years of our childhood left then who cares if we
spend it in front of a TV? Which is not to say that we do that anyhow. Perhaps
we use the TV as a way of relaxing before we go off and hit the books for two
hours. Or maybe we use it to spend time with our .....

afraid of change? Despite economic setbacks, President Reagan reduced
government spending tremendously, and cut back on business regulations to
strengthen the business sector of the economy. By making this change, the
