.... later Munch became more interested and more serious with the art of painting and sculpting, so he left the Technical College. In 1881, he enrolled in the Royal School of Drawing. There Munch studied the old masters, attended courses in painting of the nude, and he learned the skills of freehand and modeling. He was instructed by Norway's leading and finest artist, (at that time) Christian Krohg.
