Napoleons career was one metoric rise from poverty to power, and then almost equally swift decline. When he was defeated by the English at WaterLoo in 1815, Napoleon was made prisoner and taken to St. Helena, an isolated island in the south atlantic. WIth him were his jailers from Great Britain, Austria, Russia, and France ....
