's walking in the snow, looking at the blood and trail. He
came across a grave. He followed the signs across the creek. He picked up
the pieces of a root and rubbed in his hand. He went to the creek to drink
some water. He observed a unique salamander on the stones. He picked it up
to examine it ....
Middle of paper
.... to fall apart at a bad time. Then he realized
there is never a good time to fall apart. He thought of Ada. He thought
that maybe she could save him from his troubles and redeem him from the
past four years in the war. He was trying not to listen to the voices in
his head, but he couldn't avoid them. They told him that it was possible
to be lost in bitterness and anger that you are no longer able to find your
way out. Inman finally got up from his slumber and continued on his
journey. ....
