After reading The Scarlet Letter, I have decided to write about Mr. Dimmsdale, because I have found him to be the most interesting person. There are many reasons why he is the most interesting. He is hiding a sin from everyone, and it is eating him up inside. To top it off he also preaches about ....

Mr. Dimmsdale is also a coward. When Pearl, Hester, and Arthur are alone together and it is time to leave, Pearl asks him, "Will you stand up on the scaffold with us tomorrow?" (134), Later, she asks, "Will you go hand and hand with us out of the forest?" (185) And he replies that only on judgement day they ....
