.... people don't believe it. The author Tim O'Brien says that, "Often the crazy stuff is true and the normal stuff isn't because the normal stuff is necessary to make you believe the truly incredible craziness" (461). After I did this a couple times, I was disgusted with myself and quit. I wanted to keep my memories of war to myself.
During the war I picked up the nickname Krebs and that is what I was known as. When I returned home everyone called me Harold and it felt strange. I feel like at war ....
