Enough American lives have already been lost and in the long run, the bomb will cost fewer lives. The attack on Iwo Jima alone has cost us 25000 casualties and nearly 7000 deaths, a rather high price to pay for an eight-square-mile island. Okinawa cost us even more, we received 50000 casualties ....
