She and a friend named Dill try to invent ways to lure a mysterious neighbor, whom they have never seen, to come out of his house. Then when summer is over Scout begins her first year of school. She then recalls he hard times at school. Ultimately summer comes and Scout, Dill, and Jem continue their scheme for attempting .....

He makes the reader feel like they were there in the camps, under the artillery, behind the stone wall, marched, bled, and prayed that Lee would not order the charge. Michael Shaara takes you there, as soldiers saw the war and army life. He showed the true sorrow and terror. "Yet you learn to love it. Isn't that amazing? At one point in the novel, he even wants to wire them together so their movements will be perfectly precise--just as mindless puppets would be. This theme also appears when Colonel Cathcart keeps increasing the number of missions his squadron must fly--not for military purposes, but to solely enhance his prestige. One other example of this theme is in the novel, when Yossarian is wounded. He is told to take better care of his leg because it is government prop .....
