The animals in return get near nothing, just enough to keep them away from starvation. Old Major gave many speeches to the farm animals about hope and the future. He is the main animal who got the rebellion started even though he died before it actually began. Old Major's role compares to Lenin and Marx whose ideas would spark the communist revolution. His fasting is done then just because he can't find anything good to eat, but also because he was finally given the opportunity to test his limits of how long he can go without eating. Throughout the entire story the artist is kept inside a cage, and toward the ending of the story, he is treated less and less like a human being. Out of all three of these stories, the hunger artist is the most in control of his life and what he is doing. In "The Trial" the court and its officials are dragging Joseph K. about. .... he was black, which really shows the amount of injustice during the time the novel was set in. Through the whole trial, he did not retaliate at the white people, he did not get mad because he was improperly accused, he just showed the level of respect which everyone deserves. He handled the injustice with a manner reserved only for gentlemen, which is a good description of what he really was. The third person to suffer injustice in the novel was Boo Radley. Many accusations were claimed about him even though they were untrue. Just because he didn't leave his house, people began to think something was wrong.
