Both Ayah and Sidda have a close, loving relationship with their charges, Radha and Leela, who seem to cling on to them more than they do to their parents. The children are free from prejudice and appreciate the true value of their servants. It is also untrue that the vicious cycle of poverty condemns a person to a life of unhappiness. In the story "The Martyr's Corner", the lack of education does not mean a poor and unhappy life for Rama, who was said to be "earning .....

In this book, Salinger shows just how creative a writer he really was. From the opening of the book, where an old and withered Holden Caulfield begins with a distant flashback from a rest home to his days in Pencey Prep, a boy's school in Pennsylvania, to the end where an obviously senile Holden, back at the rest home, claims he will be able to leave soon and that he will go back to school next September. I found the ending to be anti-climactic, but it was still pretty humorus. The overall book seems to be more o .....

As his father nears death, Henry assures him that he can handle the responsibility of being the next king. His father tells him two very important pieces of advise if Henry is to become a good and just king. She describes the abandoned store in which the Breedlove family lives in and the terrible condition of the furniture, which reflects the type of family the Breedloves are. However, that one trait did not alone take away his position of high authority. Oedipus displayed anger throughout the whole story, which did not help him at all. During the story, we learn of Oedipus' anger as he knocked a passerby at the meeting of the three highways; "I struck him in my rage". Later, this passerby whom he angrily and quickly killed, was revealed to be Laios, Oedipus' father. Oedipus' anger also quickly shifted his judgement .....
