Legal Issues Essay Writing Help
The Legalizing Of Marijuana
Words: 691 / Pages: 3 .... (THC). Studies have shown that marijuana can ease pain,
relieve nausea, and generally relax a person. Marijuana is cheap and easy to
produce, so if legalized, it would be plentiful and probably widely used. The
problem is that there are as many harmful effects from smoking marijuana as
there are benefits. It slows reflexes, dulls the brain, and sometimes causes
hallucinations and/or cancer. There's no mystery about why it is illegal in
most parts of the world… including the U.S.
There is a simple solution that is not being discussed by the hard-
headed bureaucracy. THC is easily removed from the plant and could be

Analysis Of International Law
Words: 1658 / Pages: 7 .... annexed Statute, which is based upon the Statute of the Permanent court of International Justice and forms an integral part of the present Charter.
The commands of international law must be those that the states impose upon themselves, as states must give consent to the commands that they will follow. It is a direct expression of raison d'etat, the "interests of the state", and aims to serve the state, as well as protect the state by giving its rights and duties. This is done through treaties and other consensual engagements which are legally binding.
The case-law of the ICJ is an important aspect of the UN's contribution to the development .....

Capital Punishment
Words: 1672 / Pages: 7 .... electrocution, gas chamber, and
lethal injection.
If somebody killed someone they would not automatically get the death
penalty, there are several circumstances that a judge, jury, and prosecutioner
must look at to see how bad the crime was. In some states if you kidnap someone,
and do heinous things to them, you could still be eligible for the death penalty.
Each state which carries a death sentence has got their own requirements that a
person must meet to decide whether they get life in prison, or the sentence of
death. Below is each state which carries a death sentence and the requirements
that a person must meet and be convicted of in order t .....

Capital Punishment Deters Murder, And Is Just Retribution
Words: 1316 / Pages: 5 .... to do something, if he or she thinks that
harm will come to him. Another way the death penalty deters murder, is the fact
that if the killer is dead, he will not be able to kill again.
Most supporters of the death penalty feel that offenders should be
punished for their crimes, and that it does not matter whether it will deter the
crime rate. Supporters of the death penalty are in favour of making examples
out of offenders, and that the threat of death will be enough to deter the crime
rate, but the crime rate is irrelevant.
According to Isaac Ehrlich's study, published on April 16, 1976, eight
murders are deterred for each execution .....

Steroids
Words: 539 / Pages: 2 .... and endurance. Steroids also help in the healing process of
muscular tissue by first injuring them, then the muscles heal quicker
adding more fiber increasing their bulk. Many athletes turn to steroids
more often because they're cheaper then marijuana or cocaine. A ten week
cycle of testosterone cypinate and methandrostone costs only about one
hundred dollars. Steroids are also very hard to trace because of their
water base composition. They can pass through the body within two days. All
these benefits of steroids help an athletes become more competitive and
increase their chance of being a winner. Of course everybody wants better

Drugs Should Not Be Legalized
Words: 1230 / Pages: 5 .... After learning about the issues regarding both sides of the
argument, I would choose to support those who oppose legalization
of any drugs. Drugs simply create problems which effect society in
several ways. The government has made several efforts to control drugs
and their users, however, to most the problem appears too out of hand.
"Others see potential profit in legalizing drugs and still others
simply believe that individual rights to take drugs should be
protected. The group also acknowledged that the legalization co .....

Pros And Cons Of Capital Punishment
Words: 2241 / Pages: 9 .... 89% think that once convicted
of murder, an inmate should be sentenced to death immediately.
I would like to take this time to tell you a story. On August 15, 1997,
the Reverend John Miller preached a sermon at the Martha Vineyards
Tabernacle in New Hampshire. He told his congregation, which included the
vacationing President Clinton and his wife, that capital punishment is
wrong. "I invite you to look at a picture of Timothy McVeigh and to
forgive him," said Miller. "If we profess to be Christians, then we are
called to love and forgive." Once the sermon ended, Rev. Miller, Clinton,
and their wives got together for brunch at the Sweet Life Ca .....

Abortion: Life Or Death Who Chooses?
Words: 4437 / Pages: 17 .... human who is still to small to
cry aloud for it's own protection, have been accused of having a 19th
Century approach to life in the last third of the 20th Century. But who in
reality is using arguments of a bygone Century? It is an incontrovertible
fact of biological science - Make no Mistake - that from the moment of
conception, a new human life has been created.
Only those who allow their emotional passion to overide their
knowledge, can deny it: only those who are irrational or ignorant of
science, doubt that when a human sperm fertilizes a human ovum a new human
being is created. A new human being who carries genes in its cells that

DNA And Crime
Words: 1299 / Pages: 5 .... serve as a DNA fingerprint of
that person. These ‘fingerprints’ have became very important in identifying
criminals in a number of violent crimes where the victims aren’t able to. Blood
or semen stains on clothing, sperm cells found in a vaginal swab taken after a
rape, or root hairs are all available for analysis. Although other body tissues
such as skin cells and saliva can provide genetic information about a person for
Forensic Science purposes, blood is the most useful source of inherited traits.
If the DNA fingerprints produced from two different samples match, the two
samples probably came from the same person.
Here are some examples .....

Gun Control: More Or Less?
Words: 420 / Pages: 2 .... only had one thing on their mind. Murder.
Another idea that has been executed is the filing of lawsuits against the gun manufacturers. That is downright ludicrous. How are the gun manufacturers to control what is done with their products? The companies make the guns for law-abiding citizens and cannot control whom the products are sold to. Suing a firearms corporation is like filing a lawsuit against the Toyota and Jack Daniels Corporations when someone becomes intoxicated and kills another in a drunk driving accident. Why not sue McDonalds when somebody eats too many Big Macs and becomes extremely overweight?
Still some extremists call for an outrig .....
