professionals. They were both better educated and younger then the Old
Fighters, who had been the backbone of the party during its first decade.
The Nazis now presented themselves as the party of the young, the strong,
and the pure, in opposition to an establishment populated by the elderly,
the weak, and the dissolute.
Hitler was born in a small town in Austria in 1889. As a young boy,
he showed little ambition. After dropping out of high school, he moved to
Vienna to study art, but he was denied the chance to join Vienna .....

Safety In Institutions
Words: 374 / Pages: 2 .... towards inmates, was the fear of a prison official not liking you. In the movie The Hill, the sargent who was second in command, made sure he maximized his authority, by making the inmates know who had all the power. The sargent in this movie expressed his hatred towards one of the inmates , by making him and his cell mates, do excrutiating excercises in the middle of the hot dessert. The physical abuse of running up and down a hill, would surely lead to heat exaution, fainting spells or even in an extreme case death.
Taken from the movie If, a second example of physical abuse is shown. Had rediculous rules of always running in the hallway to and fro .....

The Prevalent Issues Of Surrogate Parenting
Words: 1766 / Pages: 7 .... by its very nature.
Nevertheless, surrogate parenting is attracting wide spread attention as a
viable alternative for infertile couples intent on having a child. Contract
surrogacy is officially little more than ten years old, although surrogate
mothering is a practice that has been known since biblical times. In 1986 alone
500 babies had been born to mothers who gave them up to sperm donor fathers for
a fee, and the practice is growing rapidly.
For this reason there are many questions and doubts that arise from this
subject. Often there are many legal difficulties that come about with surrogate
parenting. In some states the contracts that .....

Effects Of TV On Children
Words: 1268 / Pages: 5 .... is an important factor in the development of a young child’s mind. By sitting down and watching TV for a couple hours, the child is entertained, but is also not thinking. Information in spoon-fed to them, so when it comes time to read a book in school, some can have a hard time grasping ideas. They are so used to having images flash before them to provide understanding; they have trouble moving their eyes side to side to gather the information for themselves. With the TV in front of them, supplying amusement, they may never stop to think that putting a puzzle together, or reading a book could also be fun. They could actually become dependent on thi .....

The Effects Of Race On Sentencing In Capital Punishment Cases
Words: 1069 / Pages: 4 .... “most often on
blacks” Several years later in Gregg v. Georgia, 428 U.S. 153 (1976), the
Supreme Court decided, with efficient controls, the death penalty could be used
constitutionally. Yet, even with these various controls, the system does not
effectively eliminate racial bias.
Since Gregg v. Georgia the total population of all 36 death rows has
grown as has the number of judicial controls used by each state. Of the 3,122
people on death row 41% are black while 48% are white (Gest, 1996, 41). This
figure may be acceptable at first glance but one must take into account the fact
that only 12% of the U.S. population is black (Smolowe, 199 .....

Outdoors Or TV?
Words: 250 / Pages: 1 .... burglarizing houses and stores.
One reason why I think kids are becoming more violent and committing crimes is
because, they sit in front of the stupid TV all day long. They don't spend
enough time outdoors, hunting, fishing, surfing, and doing all those fun
exciting things.
The outdoors offers so much to do and takes your mind off reality and
into the fun world. When you are outdoors you are free as a bird and there
aren't too many rules. The one rule I go by is; “have fun.” When you're
outdoors you don't have to think about being robbed or hurt by crazy people
because, they stay in the city.
If you are outdoors you can't watch TV. That .....

Safety In Our Schools
Words: 1350 / Pages: 5 .... to communicate
with the children about fires and try to get the point across clearly. Such
things that should be mentioned are that children should leave the building
quietly, even this is probably the hardest thing to do. The schools should
try to teach the kids that running might get you out, but could injure or
kill many more, some of them being friends or people you care for such as
brother's or sister's even if they don't like them now, they'll miss them
when they die. When the kids get out of the school, they should go to a
selected place to wait for others and teachers to take authority. The
children should then proceed to try to stay cle .....

Money Can't Buy Love
Words: 323 / Pages: 2 .... know of this
happening once. Yet the author insists on emphasizing these circumstances,
as if it happens everyday. Of course, there are some shallow people in this
world who marry for money, but in most long-term-genuine marriages the
incentive is love.
Also, many people would be extremely happy living in the country or
in a small town such as Haskins with their spouse.. Living in a mansion or
million dollar subdivision hardly guaranties happiness or love. In million
dollar sub-divisions a person has no chose in what their lawn will look
like, or even what color their house will be. What kind of life is that?
In a small town, a person never worr .....

Video Games: "Ummmm? I Do…buttt…. C'mon I'll Play Ya "
Words: 1129 / Pages: 5 .... that phrase summarizes college life for most male students. With the added pressures of grades, girls, and life: it's an easy way to find a release that many video games offer. Unfortunetly, this fun and relaxing pastime comes with its own consequenses. Many guys start every night with the idea of finishing much of their homework in one sitting, but that one roommate, suite mate, or just that guy down the hall comes in with the bright idea to put all that away and start up a friendly rivalry. Because of such novelties as PlayStation, Nintendo 64, or the good old Sega, the grades of many once studious intellectual drops into the realms of mediocracy .....
