when the Dalton gang had come into town with their guns and went into the
O.K. Corral. They were going to get Wyatt for killing one for their
brothers. Doc knew that Wyatt might of been killed if he went there on his

Wyatt out.
Another type of friendship is the one that came between John
Oakhurst and young Tom Simson in the story of The Outcast of Poker Flat. In

Movie: Arsenic And Old Lace
Words: 246 / Pages: 1 .... left them when he was young, has killed just as many people as they did.
Much to Jonathan's surprise , the aunts killed just as many men without the
plastic surgery , without the running , they just sat right there .
"Charge…" we hear as Teddy Brewster runs up the stairs.
This caracter brings out the most comedy in the picture. Teddy is the only
character in the movie that proves to be insane in my opinion. Any man who
thinks he is a dead president (TDR) has to have some problems.
The plot unfolds when Mortimer Brewster finds out about his
aunts secret after finding a present in the window seat . Mortimer panics
and runs all over trying .....

Television And Commercialism
Words: 1536 / Pages: 6 .... little girls are kept on a level of clothes and
being cute for boys. This is a very unrealistic outlook and short circuits any
thoughts of importance in their lives. Barbie, the Mattel doll, also portrays a
false image. With her petite, fragile figure, large bust, tiny waist, long legs,
big eyes, and vast career ranging from a lifeguard to a doctor, Barbie wins the
hearts of many innocent little girls who become subjected to her unrealistic
image.
Most often in television there is no depth beyond the surface, what you
see is what you get. This is very prominent in children' s television, where
without the special effects in action- adventure .....

belief is verified when the guards inform him of a ghostly figure with
close resemblance to the late king. The ghost reveals to Hamlet that while
in the garden, Claudius poured poison in his ear. Claudius prays to be
forgiven but his prayers are not sincere. Claudius, overcome with guilt,
would prefer to keep his status then reveal what he did to King Hamlet.
The play within the play is useful because it allows Hamlet
to verify the validity of the ghost. Usually plays are intended for
entertainment purposes. The play is not real and the actors are playing a
role. In reality Hamlet makes it so that it is similar to wh .....

Dorine, Her Voice Of Reason And How She Is Able To Save The Family From Their Demise
Words: 1217 / Pages: 5 .... traits developing. The quote from Madame Parnelle in scene one states "Girl, you talk too much, and I'm afraid you're far too saucy for a lady's maid. You push in everywhere"(21). From the start it is apparent that Dorine is an outspoken character, and by doing this she is clearly putting herself out on a limb because she is dissimilar to the other women of her time. I believe that it is here that Moliere foreshadows the importance of Dorine's a character. Later on in the play she will play a crucial role in saving Mariane, her counterpart, from marrying Tartuffe, and ultimately saving Orgon's family by bringing about plans to reveal Tartuffe's .....

people and hold power. Theseus has the power over an army and Oberon has a
mysterious right-hand man known as Puck who does Oberon's dirty work using majic.
Another quality they have in common is that they keep a promise.
Theseus is a man of his word and if he says something, you can count on it to be
done. Oberon will not take anything lightly. If something is not done, he will
do it himself or call on Puck.
Theseus and Oberon are also very different in many ways. Their minds
function alike in some ways but very different in other situations. Theseus is
always open to suggestions and trys to make the right choice by his own

Hamlet: Claudius' Conscience
Words: 758 / Pages: 3 .... incest. Hamlet has a deep attraction for his mother which goes beyond the traditional, mother-son relationship. At this point in the play, Hamlet does not know that Claudius has murdered his father, but he dislikes him anyway. Claudius is not a bad king, which is demonstrated by his handling of the situation between Young Fortinbras and Denmark, but he is not extremely popular with the people and has brought back the obnoxious custom of firing the cannons whenever the king takes a drink. Claudius' conscience, here is non-existent.
After the ghost of the dead King Hamlet tells Hamlet to avenge his murder, Hamlet has a reason to truly hate Cl .....

Compare And Contrast: Oedipus And Othello
Words: 1019 / Pages: 4 .... backdrop which would have some
element of scenery, the stage itself would be bare apart from a few scenic
elements and props. Othello, like most of Shakespeare's plays, had what is
called an abstract setting. That is a setting in which the locale may change
rapidly, it may not be indicated by the script that it has changed, and was most
likely suggested by a few props. Abstract settings place more emphasis on the
language and the performer, which causes the spectator to use their imagination.
It also places more emphasis on costuming. This type of setting helped set up
the style of representational theater, which places high emphasis on the

Hamlet: Is He Insane?
Words: 725 / Pages: 3 .... be scanned. A villain
kills my father, and for that, I, his sole son, do this same villain send to
heaven. Why, this is hire and salary, not revenge.” He says here that he has
his chance to kill his father's murder but, he is praying. By killing him while
he's praying his soul goes to heaven and this wouldn't be revenge. This is not
a thought of an insane person. An insane person would have completed the murder
at this opportunity. In Act III, scene I, line 55, “To be or not to be...”,
Hamlet displays his indecisiveness by thinking about suicide because of the
situation he is in. He would rather be dead than live with the thought of hi .....

the glum atmosphere created by the conversation, the reader detects a
glimmer of optimism, determination, and hope in Proctor's voice. The reader
feels that he will fight till the end. "It is hard to give a lie to dogs.",
he says.
Proctor continually wavers in his decision whether to confess to
this outright lie, or to spite the evil and be hung in martyrdom. Up to
this point in time, the court officials have no definitive proof that any
witchcraft has actually been practiced. Innocent people are being hung only
on account of the testimony given by one young girl. Proctor realizes that
