Aristotle’s Theory Of Tragedy As Seen In Euripides’ Electra
Words: 1310 / Pages: 5 .... avenge their murdered father and in doing so cause their own exile. Orestes and Electra’s hamartia of matricide lead them to discover their action was wrong and they come to regret what they have done. However, Electra lacks a true fall from happiness into misery for either children, a profound sense of tragic suffering, and a strong catharsis of pity and fear.
In Electra, both Orestes and Electra can be viewed as tragic figures, however Orestes is the better choice according to Aristotle. Orestes is the son of a king and is a prince, thus he is of a high birth. He has ethos, or a sense of right and wrong, in that he recognizes the injustices th .....

Television is powerful in may ways, mostly by having the ability to

It is like the radio because TV has to have sound to make it powerful impact.
It is also similar to print or newspapers because TV is able to show the product

TV can portray the object in motion while the other forms of media cannot.

The Media: Newspapers
Words: 1952 / Pages: 8 .... you also notice that there is only one main story (in fact only one story of any kind). A huge head-line and a largish, colourful picture half take up the front page. There are only a couple of lines of text (often only giving a brief outline) be-fore you are told to turn to one of the inner pages. There is only nor-mally one large photograph on the front page but The Telegraph also has a humorous cartoon that relates to the main story. The photos in the broadsheet are needed to draw the reader’s attention to the paper but also to make the large blocks of text seem less intimidat-ing. The newspapers also have lots of advertisements. In The Da .....

Barney Vs. Sesame Street
Words: 486 / Pages: 2 .... flying. You learn about kites, birds, planes and
more. You get more out of the show than if it was about many topics like Sesame
Street. The one we saw had many topics like eating healthy, dental hygiene, the
airport and more. The child can have an overload of ideas for one day and get
all mixed up.
Both Barney and Sesame Street have songs in them. I found that Barney
had many more songs than Sesame Street. The songs are used as jolts and they
work well in getting the attention of the child. I found that the Barney songs
were much catchier than the Sesame Street songs. They were slower, and other
than the dancing, there was not much else hap .....

A Midsummer Night's Dream: Role Of Puck
Words: 474 / Pages: 2 .... the name Goodfellow
When compared to Oberon, King of the Fairies and Titania, Queen of the
Fairies and the remaining fairies of the play, Puck does not seem to fit in as
well. While Oberon and Titania belong to the forest and the world of dainty
fairies, a small village setting seems more appropriate for Puck. He is the
type of fairy that likes to be around mortals and cause them trouble, as opposed
to other fairies. This is why Puck's little job with a love potion and a young
couple is perfect for him and he perfect for the job.
Puck is a likable character who tends to create mischief around himself.
Everything is a game to crafty l .....

personal freedom that she had craved for all of her life.
Torvald just about is what society expects of him. Torvald runs
his household with an iron fist. He is this way most likely because he is

do. He wants society to see him as a respectable man with .....
