Words: 1305 / Pages: 5 .... is talking with Ismene, she asks for her

anyone's opinions except his own. When his son Haimon comes to talk with him he
refuses to listen , claiming that Haimon is "girlstruck!" and corrupted .
Teirsesais comes and tells him a morbid prophecy. Creon will not listen to this

Franco Zeffili's Film Version Of Romeo And Juliet
Words: 214 / Pages: 1 .... film version of the play "Romeo and Juliet an improvement
over Shakespeares play?" Yes, Franco Zeffelli's film was an improvement over
Shakespeares play because he changed the dialogue a little, he made the location
better, and the Tybalt and Romeo duel was action packed.
I really liked the real elaborate scenery in the movie. I liked all the nice
looking buildings. I also liked the scenery because it was real open and right
in the center of the city.
Franco Zeffelli really added a lot to the great battle scene between Romeo and
Tybalt. In the actual play the fight sounded stupid and it seemed like it
barely lasted a minute. In the movie th .....

Our Town: Universal Theme Of Family
Words: 371 / Pages: 2 .... aware that they are in
reality, not trapped within the play.
As most authors would prefer the reader trapped within the play the
author uses techniques which I have never observed before in this play.
For instance dramatic irony, and Pantomine play a very important role in
this play. By the use of the stage manager constantly pausing and giving
us a reality check, he makes sure we know we are still in reality. The
Stage manager creates quite and effective environment by playing different
parts. Although in the play he plays many miscellaneous roles, to the
audience he is the constant reminder that this is a play. He serves as a

A Streetcar Named Desire
Words: 781 / Pages: 3 .... The most interesting part of Blanche is that through her unstable thinking she has come to believe the things she imagines. Her flashy sense of style and imagination hide the truly tragic story about her past. Blanche lost Belle Reve but, moreover, she lost the ones she loved in the battle. The horror lied not only in the many funerals but also in the silence and the constant mourning after. One cant imagine how it must feel to lose the ones they love and hold dear but to stay afterwards and mourn the loss of the many is unbearable. Blanche has had a streak of horrible luck. Her husband killing himself after she exposed her knowledge about his h .....

Power Of One
Words: 344 / Pages: 2 .... many of those that we can manage to lose
one or two.
What would happen to Pk is he would he would be caught by the Afrikaaners
police and probably be tortured and killed ; same thing with the boxer friend.
Than it would not an american movie anymore, it would be too realistic,
something the american public, and too a lesser extent the general public does
not appreciate.
I believe this ending is not realistic as Pk loses his greatest love(or
so they make us believe in the movie) dies and he does not care and continues
to fight the “bad guys”, not thinking about her ever again in the movie. Same
thing with his boxer friend, who just .....

The Symbol Of Black In "The Crucible"
Words: 423 / Pages: 2 .... is feeling
black in this portion of the play. What I mean by black is that Elizabeth
probably felt like dying instead of going through all this. Since black
symbolizes death I figured that Elizabeth maybe felt black, like putting
herself out of the misery of all this charging rather than go along with it.
She gets blamed for many things that she did not do. For example she is
accused of poking Abby with a needle by a poppet.
Mary must also feel black because she meant no harm by putting a
needle inside of the poppet and yet she gets in trouble also. The black
signifies Elizabeth's anger hate for Abby. It is clearly shown when .....

The Crucible
Words: 465 / Pages: 2 .... 21 of my poem, that there is always a time for truth and
that was one.
There are many times throughout the story that dishonesty accrues
Act I of this story it begins with three girls who accuse dozen of people
of witchcraft. The fact that the girls are trying to conceive of some way
in which to escape punishment for having been caught dancing in the woods
is clearly revealed. The irresponsible accusations have resulted in the
deaths of twenty people. But later on in the story the truth comes back to
haunt them because they are the ones who end up being accused for
witchcraft. I mentioned in line 23 of my poem, sooner or later the truth
will c .....

Hamlet: Antiheroism
Words: 834 / Pages: 4 .... a label is that
he draws sympathy, as well as admiration, from the reader since Hamlet feels the
pain of losing his father along with the burden and obstacles in avenging his
murder.
Act four places a special emphasis on Hamlet's intelligence. In scene two,
Hamlet is very insolent and rude towards Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with such
phrases as,
That I can keep your counsel and not, mine
own. Beside, to be demanded of a sponge, what
replication should be made by the son of a
king? (IV, ii, 12-14)
The reference to the sponge reflects the fact that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
are easily ordered by the king and do not have minds .....
