It is argued that if Hamlet had taken prompt action, Gertrude, Polonius, Ophelia, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, Laertes, and Hamlet himself may have survived. A reason must then be drawn from one's own interpretations of Hamlet. Following two renound interpretations of Hamlet, two major conclusions can be made. Othello, like most of Shakespeare's plays, had what is called an abstract setting. That is a setting in which the locale may change rapidly, it may not be indicated by the script that it has changed, and was most likely suggested by a few props. Abstract settings place more emphasis on the language and the performer, which causes the spectator to use their imagination. It also places more emphasis on costuming. Cuba had America’s attention in 1895, a revolt had broken out against Spain. American businesses did not support the rebellion because of millions of dollars involved in trade with Cuba however, the rebels had rallied support, due to the fact that Americans knew they were being put in concentration camps. Americans anger over Cuba flowed in to the newspapers. Randolf Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer printed articles and comic strips about Spain oppressing Cuba. This was so he could survive the deadly .....

.... was also practical when Tybalt spotted Romeo during the Capulet feast, Tybalt wanted to do the impulsive thing and kill Romeo, but Capulet thought for a second about the consequences. Tybalt said “I'll not endure him� and Capulet told him emphatically “he shall be endur'd�(pg. 57, Lines 77 & 78). In this scene Capulet prevented a huge Montegue and Capulet confrontation by thinking first and not doing the impulsive suggested by Tybalt. Through thinking these actions through, problems were prevented. However, Capulet was at times, a very rash person, and that lead to much of the misfortune in this play.
