.... we ranked first in our province of British Columbia at the 1996 National Championships. Another aspect of my participation with this high school club in problem solving was to acquire the neccessary funds in the construction materials, competition fees as well as for personal expenses required for traveling outside the province for competitions. Fund-raising was both stressful and difficult due to the fact that corporate sponsors had limited resources and could not finance to the extent that had been previously predicted. .... commands etc. The first programs I made were simple and useless. For example a sequence which generates random circles, at random places, in random colors on the screen. Or a program which asks you how old you are, and how many cigarettes you smoke everyday. Then it tells you if you smoke too much. These programs are not useful because they don't satisfy any of the two demands: 1) It doesn't fulfill any of my needs. 2)It's not suitable for a wider audience. .... came into Burlington. Justin dropped me off at my house in Burlington at four o'clock, a few hours before his show started. I made my plans with them for later and sent them on their way. Something about being home makes me feel much more relaxed. The day would start off waking up to the smell of fresh bread rising to the occasion in the oven, then the thrill of brightly colored jelly beans being hidden all over the house. It was a tradition; the bunny would come in the middle of the night, hopping about delicately as not to wake my brother and me and spread the magical colored jelly beans about the house. .... to that river to die in hope that they will go to paradise. I should point out that the river is only sacred to Hindus. It was interesting to find out that each year, thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit such holy cities as Benares and Allahabad along the banks of the Ganges. They go there just to bathe in the river and to take home some of its water. The Ganges River is so important to the Indians that they call it "Ganga Mata" or Mother Ganges. It is also the greatest waterway in India and one of the largest in the world. Temples line the riverbank, and stairways, called ghats, lead down to the water. .... a sudden my phone rings, and it was my mother-in-law "wondering" if I wanted a couple of free view box tickets and a parking pass, for that nights Ranger game. I couldn't have been more excited, much less believe my luck. After I got off work , and picked up the tickets, I raced home to get my wife and son ready to go. Over the next half hour, I almost regretted having to bring my son, what with the hassle of getting the diaper bag packed , the traffic, and fighting the crowds while pushing a stroller. .... King Blvd. After six to ten minutes of driving I switched from interstate 275 to interstate 4. By that time the traffic was very dense and I was very angry due to the previous events I was involved in. It was a three lane highway and I was driving on the left lane, my exit was few minutes away and I knew that if I didn’t switch lanes rapidly I would have to drive two to three more miles on a very slow moving traffic. I decide to begin switching lanes, I successfully transferred from the left lane to the middle lane even though there was hardly any space between cars. I watched his arms, spread out, as he balanced. I followed with my eye the cigarette in his right hand as it glowed, spearing through the night.
